Dear Reader(s),
I had to send a couple of completely irrelevant posts to your email (yesterday) to test my Newsletter’s email delivery system. Once again, apologies for the spam.
I had a nice tongue-in-cheek essay - “Desire, Drives & People’s Lives” - all set to be delivered to you, but my Substack malfunctioned - it only delivered it to 7 subscribers (& to the selected seven, I say, bear with me on this one| thank you!). I could not find a way to get it delivered to the rest of y’all.
Beginning of the year I had partitioned my publications into sections, to make it easier for readers to find particular types of writing (Narrative/fiction, Essays, etc.). It was to make the publication more organized. Ya’ll get spammed instead. The Irony.
It appears there is a glitch with The Trench Dispatch’s “Essays” section. The glitches go deep, as the draft for my “Essay” post has also frozen (become unresponsive) in the back end.
Anyhow, the glitches will be sorted out by me and the good folks of Substack.
In the meantime, I shall be publishing all writing under the generic “The Trench Dispatch” section to avoid future issues. I have a series of stories I am excited to share in the pipeline. And the publishing cycle and blueprint I had earlier outlined still hold.
Signing off by plugging the link for “Desire, Drives & People’s Lives” again.
Hope ya’ll enjoy the read. Like and comment too!
Sincerely,
Saikia
